Age, diet, and level of exercise are all factors that can have an effect on the shape of your face.  Even if you exercise and maintain a healthy diet, age and gravity can change the look of your face. Muscles in the face can be targeted with regular exercise, and you can start to tone the face through slimming exercises – much like we do for the rest of our body.

 

Chubby Cheeks

One way to slim those chubby cheeks is to try a simple exercise. Sit in a chair with good support. While maintaining strong posture, relax your head back and focus the eyes straight up toward the ceiling. At the same time, extend your chin out and suck your cheeks in as far as you can. Repeat this sequence for 10 or 15 reps, holding for 5 seconds each time.

 

Cheekbone Slimming

Add slimming contour to the cheekbones and decrease the appearance of jowls by performing this exercise. Sit in a chair with good support or stand upright. While maintaining great posture, lift the skin covering the cheekbones up and taut. Then open the mouth, creating a long oval with the lips, feeling the resistance and stretch in the cheek muscles. Repeat this sequence for 10 or 15 reps, holding for 5 seconds each time.

 

Contour the Lower Face

Decrease fat in the mouth and chin region by performing this exercise. Placing the two fingers of each hand on the skin of each side of the mouth, pull down gently. While performing this, use the muscles of the mouth to create a smile with the lips closed. Perform this exercise up to 10 times, holding each rep for 5 seconds and then relaxing.

 

Slim the Jaw

The face can appear droopy when jowls along the jawline are apparent. The slim this area of the face, perform the following exercise. While maintaining strong posture, relax your head back and focus the eyes straight up toward the ceiling.  Pull the lower lip over the upper by pushing the jaw out slightly. Resistance can be felt both in the neck and the jaw as you perform this one. Repeat this sequence for 10 or 15 reps, holding for 5 seconds each time.
